A Ship Is Safe in Harbor, but That's Not What Ships Are For

If there is one thing I have learned from becoming a freelancer then its this -

Don't get too comfortable where you are, because the moment you do, you start losing.

There is a certain kind of hustle and determination needed when you don't know how much you will earn at the end of the month, when you don't get paid leaves, and when you can't say 'Oh, it's the weekend, give me a break.'

It's not easy, but I know its what I was meant to do. When I come back from a vacation, and finally start tapping on my laptop, that feeling is unfathomable. No amount of margaritas in this world can make me feel as relaxing as the keys on my laptop.

Right when I was planning to leave my old job, I read this line somewhere which has helped me go a long way

Smooth seas do not make a skillful sailor

If I can go off on a smooth road and accomplish something, its not really worth it because every one else can do it too.

Imagine if George RR Martin had thought that his book was completely atrocious, no body kills the main characters in their book, and his book should be a love story instead.
Imagine if Steve Jobs had thought nobody would want to use a touch phone with just one button on it, and he made a phone with a Qwerty keypad instead.

The idea is to take a jump and experience new things, because its no fun going on a road when you already know where it leads you to.

Yes, when you take a risk, there is a chance that you might fail, but there is also a chance that you might succeed. And I would rather take my chances.
