Big City, Bright Lights

By Sunday, December 28, 2014 ,

At 4.45 AM I finally stepped inside Trivandrum Airport and realized I actually had to leave. What started as a 'how-can-god-be-so-cruel' part of of my life ended on a such a great note that I wouldn't have asked for more.

And so I came to Mumbai.. Bombay as I like to call it. I have always had a love-hate relationship with Bombay. I want to hate it so much but you just cannot help yourself falling in love with the city. If you have ever seen the sunset from Marine Drive, you will know what I am talking about. And also, the interesting cab drivers who tell you the most weird stories about the city.

I couldn't help but wonder if I can ever find happiness in this city, if I can ever be like the other people here. But then happiness doesn't come from the city you live in, you are happy because of the people you are with. And you know what's the most difficult thing in life is sometimes ? - Its finding out what makes you happy.

For some, home makes them happy. But since a lot of years I have believed I don't have a home, travelling is what makes me happy. So may be I'll take this stay in Bombay as a long travelling expedition and see where it takes me. I don't have any long term plan, I don't even have a short term plan. I just want to see where life takes me. I am 22 - I think I am allowed to not make any stupid or sensible decisions right now.

  1. Travelling widens the mind of the traveler and gives him myriad opportunities to learn and share. You've got this opportunity. Enjoy life.
