The Good And The Bad
I was actually typing down this post yesterday when it was tittled 'All the good things' but then I heard about Robin Williams death and I was devastated. I don't know if you watched this show called 'The Crazy Ones' , Williams played Sarah Michelle Gellar's father in the show and they had such an amazing chemistry. But the show was cancelled after the first season a few months back and I was heart broken. Now I feel it was a good thing, atleast the writers gave it a good ending, otherwise it would have always been incomplete.
Robin Williams and Ellen Degeneres were my two absolute favourite comedians. Well, at least I still have Ellen. But there was something so giddy about Williams, he didn't even have to say a word to make people laugh. Its so hard to believe that someone like was suffering from severe depression. Suicide is a permanant solution to a very temporary problem.
But instead of wallowing, I am going to remember Robin Williams today by watching Aladdin,Mrs DoubtFire and may be watch The Crazy Ones again. PS -Nobody does a funnier french accent than him !
And so, moving on to the good part I was about to share yesterday, I am now a part of IndianBloggers.org and I won a the runners up prize by IndiBlogger for my Nothing You Can't Do post. Yes, I know I didn't exactly win but hey, its way better than losing. And if we are counting all the good thing, I went to Mc Donalds today. Yes, its a source of my happiness and I am proud to say it.

look for some of his stand up comedies available on youtube. They are downright hilarious. Then, of course, Mork and Mindy... freed from the need to act seriously based on a script, he unleashes the true spirit of what we know of him.
ReplyDeleteReally was devastated by his loss... somebody I truly looked up to
I have seen his stand up, he always cracked me up ! he was just so amazing
DeleteIt is said that jokers are always serious...laughing at the follies of the world, at yourself and making others laugh is the toughest in this world
