Big Dreams

By Sunday, October 28, 2012

Everyone who is anyone in this world has given motivational and inspiring quotes, from Sachin Tendulkar to Kim Kardashian. The internet is flooded with hundreds and thousands of them. Even us, we never leave a chance of advicing or motivating anyone, even though we have no idea what we are actually doing with our own lives.

Someone very proudly said 'Sky is the limit' but what if you want something that is much far from the sky, what if you want something far away from the whole milky way ? Or what if reality suddenly hits you, makes you sane and you realise there is no way you could reach the sky without being a Super man ? It's perfectly fine to have dreams but shouldn't we all have realistic dreams!

I am not saying dreaming big is wrong, but how can you dream of becoming the next Steve Jobs when all you do the whole day is sit in front of your computer and chat with similar lazy people. Its stupid to not work hard enough for your dream and then expect God to hand it over to you on a silver platter.
Life is not a cakewalk, you get only what you deserve, nothing more and nothing less. If you think you deserve more, you just have to work harder.

It's about realizing how much you want your dream to come true, laying down a plan and then working towards it. You can't let anything distract you from it, nothing !
And trust me, it's never too late.

I always thought my dream was too big and too stupid to come true but how can I say that so confidently when I haven't even tried enough? :)

  4. Interesting post Ritika.. Anyone and everyone who has set his / her foot on the internet has their own 'quotes' on how to live and survive.. And who knows, someone sitting tirelessly in front of computer can become the next Steve Jobs (as who would have thought someone working in his dad's garage will become the next big thing).. :)

    1. But he was not wasting time there Binu. He was constantly working, he had an above average IQ and he wanted to make new things !

How can you achieve anything when you don't have the zeal to do it ?

  7. :) I guess giving gyaan comes as naturally to us as breathing. Say big words or take it from others, but regardless if we take even one of them seriously and pursue, it'll make all the difference.
