I Never Left School

By Tuesday, July 31, 2012 , ,

There are always things in our past we are too afraid to face or rather some people we are too afraid to face again.
Being in these situations is just plain simple horrifying.

When I was leaving school I was so happy I would not be seeing most of them again. And hence I pulled some of the the naughtiest and the most wicked pranks in the last year of my school. But little did I know, the ever so fast growing technology had better plans for me. There is email, terrifying Facebook and then there is the annoying Blackberry. I decided to dump my blackberry because it just kept ringing and never stopped ! I don't care what you had for dinner, you don't have to update your BBM status about it.

But now that the blackberry is gone, there is another annoying application,WhatsApp.Its basically like the Blackberry Messenger but more annoying because it never shuts down on Nokia phones and since it runs on almost all phones, they are more people to spoil your day.

And then there is the ever so famous Facebook, every single person I wanted to run away from is right there smiling on my Facebook homepage. I didn't have to know the dumbest girl in my school is now a model in Italy or that the nerd in my class is now an intern at Google and lives in Geneva ! I could have very well lived without having to know about it,forever. But no,now I constantly think what I am doing with my life, and how everyone is so far ahead from me. I would rather meet these people after I had my sh*t together, may after 10 or 20 years ( or may be not even then ?).

The most irritating part is how we don't like all of it and yet I cant shut my Facebook account or the stupid WhatsApp,I have tried but never succeeded so I guess I am stuck with this feeling for a long time.
Who knows, may be someday I would flaunt my success on Facebook and make every one else jealous

  3. hmmm; nicely penned. You know I have friends who have deleted their FB account and are happy getting back their real life. As long as your emotions are in control and you are not affected by the going on's in other life social networking is ok ! once it starts taking you over it is better to ditch them. But like u say one application or other gets to us . I would say take things with a pinch of salt. U r doing great and tht's what matters. Hugs

  4. sigh.. you read my mind.. it is really depressing to watch absolute dunces from school now lounging in LA ( freaking Los Angeles of all places ) while we're still here.

Social networking does have its advantages.. but beyond a point, it is a pain in the butt. No doubt about that.
